Job Description: 
NSE will be responsible for writing, analyzing and maintaining heuristic rules used in Cisco Ironport anti-spam engine. This individual will work on writing rules to better identify spam and new trends in spam. The writing process will be collaborative, and as such the position requires strong organizational, people and coding skills. The successful candidate will have a passion for decreasing the amount of spam that consumers and businesses receive. 

Responsibilities: 
1) Analyze email data from customers and a world wide network of sophisticated data collection systems 
2) Determine new patterns and trends, develop, test and publish new heuristic rules and signatures. 
3) Develop ad-hoc tools and automate processes and techniques in a very UNIX & Database centric environment. 
4) Report bugs and anomalies encountered in the working process 
5) Ability to work with cross functional teams 
6) Special projects and other duties as assigned 

Required Experience and Skills: 
1) Experience/knowledge of networking and DNS are required 
2) Programming experience with Python or Perl is required. 
3) Skills with regular expressions (REGEX) required, Perl REGEX preferred. 
4) Experience with email technologies and infrastructure is desired 
5) Strong background of UNIX and/or UNIX variant; writing shell scripts 
6) Outstanding English skills and good written and verbal communication skills. 
7) Experience/knowledge of data mining, machine learning, and database management are preferred. 
8) Experience/knowledge of Programming Collective Intelligence is a plus. 
9) Able to read Korean is a plus. 
10) Degree in Computer Science.
